Overview
Fountain Life is a longevity and preventive health platform combining advanced diagnostics, data, and personalized care. As Head of Design over eight years, I led product and brand design across the company, from building the patient-facing mobile experience to directing the brand evolution that brought consistency and credibility across every touchpoint.
Challenge
Fountain Life's clinical model was sophisticated but the patient experience hadn't caught up. Health data was delivered via Zoom calls with physicians, a process that was time-consuming for doctors and overwhelming for patients trying to make sense of complex diagnostics. On the brand side, the visual identity was disjointed and inconsistent, weakening trust at every customer touchpoint.
Approach
The centerpiece of the product work was designing a mobile app that brought patients' health data directly to their phones. The challenge was translating genuinely complex diagnostic information into something legible and actionable for a non-clinical audience, while maintaining access to their care team in one place. It replaced a fragmented, call-heavy workflow with a clear, self-serve experience patients could actually use.
On the brand side, I spearheaded an engagement with an external agency to rebuild the visual and tonal foundation, then directed and refined their output to ensure it translated properly across product, website, and marketing. Over eight years I acted as creative director and brand guardian, bringing cross-functional teams into alignment under a consistent, credible identity.
Result
The app drove patient adoption across the board and became a core feature in the sales process, directly influencing how Fountain Life's services were positioned and sold. The stronger brand system improved consistency across channels and gave sales and marketing teams a more credible, unified foundation to work from.
